Stay Hydrated with this Watermelon Smoothie

Since the weather's getting warmer and warmer, what better way to celebrate than with a watermelon smoothie? According to Chinese Medicine, watermelon is considered as a cold fruit. It's perfect for cooling you down in the heat of summer. Combined with the coolness of mint, it is the perfect refresher for hot days. Watermelon is one of my favourite fruits. Every year, I look forward to summer so that I can finally have perfect watermelons. 

If you can manage to find seedless watermelon, feel free to throw all of these ingredients in your blender and mix everything up. If not, no worries! Here's how to make this refreshing watermelon smoothie.

Wonderful Watermelon Smoothie

  • 2 cups watermelon
  • 1 apple
  • Small handful of mint leaves

If using watermelon with seeds, take watermelon slices and mash pulp as much as possible. Try not to break seeds down into little pieces.

Strain watermelon and discard seeds. Mix chopped apple and mint in a blender and drink up!
