Hello Amigos!

This month, I'm featuring a few amazing avocado recipes! I love avocados - they are filled with healthy fats that you can include in your diet. Don't be scared of fat. Too many people believe that when you eliminate fat from your diet, you also shred body fat. 

This prompts so many people to choose low fat alternatives rather than full fat products. Instead, focus on eating healthy fats, like the ones found in avocados. These fats are good for maintaining healthy skin, weight-loss and all-around health. Remember that there is no secret spell to instant weight-loss or ultimate physical improvement. There are no magic pills, no special slimming drinks, no perfect quick fix diets either…. You just need to eat healthier.

Blackberry-Avocado Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado
  • 1/4 cup blackberries
  • 2 Tbsp agave syrup

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Process until well combined and smooth. Enjoy!

Chocolate-Avocado Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 Tbsp agave syrup

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Process until well combined and smooth. Enjoy!

Lemon-Avocado Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Process until well combined and smooth. Enjoy!

Healthy “Tzatziki” Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cucumber (peeled, seeded, and diced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Process until well combined. Serve with fresh vegetables.

If you want a more chunky sauce, just stir to combine instead of processing.
