As a stay-at-home mother, excuses came pretty easily for Charlotte. She used to gorge on unhealthy snacks and avoided exercising at all cost. "My life is pretty busy with family and house duties, [being] a stay-at-home mom who home-schools my 4 children under [the age of] 6," Charlotte admitted. "I don’t even know my highest weight because I was too ashamed to weigh myself when I first started out." She made subtle changes to her habits shortly before she joined the PumpUp community. Whether you're at the very beginning of your fitness journey or even part-way through a lifestyle change, the PumpUp community is there to support you. "I started using PumpUp in March 2015 because I had been really looking for a way to [stay] accountable to my healthier life changes," she recalled. "PumpUp far surpassed my needs with a workout builder and community of like-minded people striving to better themselves."
Since March, Charlotte's lifestyle changed drastically. She lost over 60 lbs and went from wearing US size 20 pants to wearing a size 10-12. She completely cut out sugar and artificial sweeteners from her diet and she no longer allows herself to indulge on chips and chocolate every night. "My energy levels have gone through the roof," she gushed. "I feel 10 years younger. I have the energy that I need to give my kids my best. I have time to play and energy to run around with them. It's something I could never do before."
Charlotte also used to suffer from chronic back pain. This was especially painful for her due to a number of compounding factors — a driving accident in high school, hyper-mobility, a triplet pregnancy, and a car accident. "[This all] caused me sometimes debilitating back pain," she remembered. With years of physiotherapy and chiropractic care, Charlotte would have temporary pain relief at best. "Since losing the weight and building my core strength, my back muscles have been able to stabilize and I can do more physically now than I ever thought possible," she stated. "Nothing will hold me back."
What's more, Charlotte no longer focuses on weight loss as her primary goal. "I still have about 30 pounds I'd like to lose, but it's more than that," she mentioned. "I want to feel healthy. I want to be around to see my children grow up and I want to grow old with my husband. I wouldn't have been able to do that if I stayed where I was: unhappy, unhealthy, depressed, and lonely."
Charlotte's Best Advice
My best advise would be to make little changes everyday because life is a marathon not a sprint. Quit looking to the next quick diet to “shed 10 pounds in 2 days”because they won’t work. Better yourself by putting one foot in front of the other. The hardest part for me was actually getting off the couch, but if you do, soon you’ll look back (like me) and see that you have transformed into a new person from the inside out. Plus: the scale is not your friend. Measure and take photos even if you don't feel like it. The camera doesn't lie.
Charlotte's Biggest Motivation
My family is my biggest motivation. I see the joy and energy my children are bursting at the seams with and I don’t want to miss a single moment with them.
Charlotte's Workout Routine
I have fallen in love with biking! The freedom and speed fascinates and drives me to push harder and faster every time. I exerciseabout 5 times a week or more (HIIT, biking, weight training, pilates, yoga, walking and play volleyball) . I try to do about 30 min a day.

I just turned 30 and for the first time in my life, I feel younger than my age. Something interesting… I am a homeschooling wife and mom of my triplet 5-year olds( 2 girls and 1 boy) and my 6 year old daughter. I also have 2 dogs, so our house is loud and busy and I love it! Plus I love to sing and play guitar.
