How Danielle Finally Found Motivation To Be Healthy

Making a lifestyle change can be overwhelming. For the sake of convenience, Danielle often ate out at fast food joints such as McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken. "I never did any exercise - I was really lazy," she recalled. "I would come home from work, sit in bed on my laptop until I went to sleep, and I would snack a lot." Eight months ago, Danielle joined the PumpUp community because she wanted to live a life full of intention, positivity, and accountability. A singer named Ebony Day gave Danielle the push that she needed to download PumpUp. "Ever since I joined, [PumpUp] has helped me so much with my weight and made me lose around 40 lbs," she shared. "[It is something] I never thought I could do. I had always struggled with my weight, but everyone was so lovely on the app and helped me whenever I asked. I love all of the people I follow on PumpUp and I love all of my followers who always like all my posts and comment lovely things!"

Small changes added up for Danielle. She walks to work for 20 minutes every morning, takes strolls during her lunch breaks, and takes the stairs at work. "I don't go to the gym, but I do exercise in my house and that's what I use PumpUp for," she explained. Now, Danielle affirms that she can accomplish things, rather than telling herself that she can't. "I have gained confidence and I learned not to care what people think about me - as long as I love myself."


Danielle's Best Advice

YOU CAN DO IT. Don't say you 'can’t' because you can. I was always so self-conscious about everything. Now, I have learned to love myself and I'm so much more confident when I go out.

I work a lot so I really enjoy a lot of walking and I occasionally do some of the workouts that the PumpUp account posts.
