Smoothie bowls always look picture-perfect - but how on Earth are they made? This video tutorial by PumpUp member @rawincollege demonstrates how to layer all kinds of fruity toppings onto your blended creations. The trick is to arrange everything in concentric circles. To make a smoothie bowl, blend your smoothie ingredients together, spoon it out into a bowl, and level the surface of your smoothie with the back of a spoon. Slice up your fruits and arrange your toppings on the outer edge of the bowl first, before placing another 'circle' of toppings within that circle.
The toppings used in this recipe are: sliced bananas, sliced kiwis, tangerine slices, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and hemp seeds.
Feel free to experiment with different toppings and smoothie bases.
