We all have bad days and we all get into bad moods, some weeks more then others. Just because you woke up on the wrong side of the bed or had a bad day at work doesn’t mean you can’t change your attitude.  Exercise has been proven to enhance your mood and increase energy. When you exercise your brain releases endorphins, adrenaline, serotonin and dopamine. Theses chemicals all work together to boost your mood.

Next time you are feeling moody or sad try out this workout to boost your energy and mood!

Do each exercise for 1 minute with a 15 second rest between exercises:

Knee High

Stand tall and run knees up to chest. 

Lunge to Front Kick- 1 Minute Each Leg

Do a basic back lunge, then kick front and bring your leg right back into your back lunge. 

Side Plank- Hold 30 Seconds each side

Come onto your elbow and lift your hips towards the ceiling, then bring your top arm long. 

Single Leg Bridge- Each Leg 3o Seconds

 Lying on your back bring your hips toward the ceiling. Your hips should just be lifted a fist distance from the floor. Then lift one leg up to the ceiling and pressing through your heel on the floor lower and lift your hips.

For an extra challenge at the end of the workout add in BURPEES for 1 minute!

Workout Breakdown:

Each exercise 1 minute of work followed by 15 seconds of rest.

Knee High

Lunge Kick

Side Plank (30 Seconds each side)

Single Leg Bridge (30 Seconds each side)

Optional Burpee
