I bought some unflavoured vegan protein powder, but it doesn't taste that good and it overwhelms a lot of other flavours. After experimenting with it a little, I finally made something that suited my tastebuds: a pink strawberry and raspberry protein shake. Usually, I don't like flavoured protein powders because they make me break out. I kind of depend on my "nasty" unflavoured protein powders. For this strawberry and raspberry protein shake recipe, it's important that you add fresh berries filled with tons of flavour to mask the taste of whatever protein you're using.
While the protein powder is optional in this recipe, I highly recommend using it if you need more protein in your diet. For me, protein powder is quick and easy way for me to consume it without eating excess calories.
Strawberry and Raspberry Protein Shake
- 200ml Soy milk (or milk of your choice)
- 2-3 handfuls Raspberries
- 2-3 handfuls Strawberries
- 1 scoop Protein powder (optional)
- Agave syrup (optional)
Add milk in a food processor or blender, along with raspberries and strawberries. Pulse, then blend until smooth. Add protein powder and agave syrup and blend until combined.
