Krystal's incredible postpartum fitness journey

Stop saying "I can't". It's more destructive to your well-being than you may realize. "I'd say that my biggest setback has been the belief that I can't," confessed Krystal, a young mother who has been on PumpUp for a little over one year. "It was the idea that I can't lose weight, be a runner, get stronger, or change my life." For this reason, Krystal experienced several ups and downs related to her physical and mental health. With the help of PumpUp, she was able to embark on her postpartum fitness journey in the most incredible way possible.

How Caroline beat depression with the help of a support system

Depression is a clinical condition that affects an estimated 1.5% of the adult population in the U.S. on an annual basis. In other places around the world, millions more struggle with this condition. They often cope with their personal symptoms in silence. PumpUp member Caroline grappled with depression prior to having her children, and dealt with postpartum depression after her second child was born.

"I was always overweight. I wanted to be ‘skinny’ so bad that I lived a very unhealthy lifestyle to do so. Don’t ever sacrifice your health. I’m doing it right this time, and so can you."

She lost over 60 lbs of her pregnancy weight, going from 189 lbs to 128 lbs by eating lots of protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, as well as fruits and vegetables. She works out from home with 45-60 mins of high intensity interval training.
