Blend This Vegan Banana Mango Smoothie

Blend This Vegan Banana Mango Smoothie

Make this banana mango smoothie when you need a pick-me-up after a tough workout. Make sure that you use really juicy and ripe mangos for this recipe. If they are too hard or if they're not ripe enough, they won't taste as good. We prefer to use Thai mangos above all others - they're completely yellow, if you can find them in your local grocery store.

According to sources compiled by the Whole Grains Council, barley is particularly beneficial at regulating blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Tsampa is a staple in Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine. Like oats, tsampa can be prepared as a breakfast porridge - just like this vegan coconut tsampa recipe.

Healthy Chilled Recipes To Get On Track | Get Healthy With Valentina

Cold weather doesn't have to get you down! I recently came back from Mexico to a cold Germany. Of course, I changed some ingredients to make the dishes healthier because I wasn't exactly the healthiest person on earth when I was in Mexico.   Eating well is all about balance.

This recipe is very simple and quick to make, and it can accommodate almost any diet. The key is to use melted coconut oil and maple syrup to bind and sweeten the mixture.

How To Make A Smoothie Bowl

How To Make A Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls always look picture-perfect - but how on Earth are they made? This video tutorial by PumpUp member @rawincollege demonstrates how to layer all kinds of fruity toppings onto your blended creations. The trick is to arrange everything in concentric circles. To make a smoothie bowl, blend your smoothie ingredients together, spoon it out into a bowl, and level the surface of your smoothie with the back of a spoon. Slice up your fruits and arrange your toppings on the outer edge of the bowl first, before placing another 'circle' of toppings within that circle.

This Healthy Candy Cane Will Blow Your Mind

This Healthy Candy Cane Will Blow Your Mind

You'll only need two ingredients for this healthy candy cane: bananas and strawberries. Slice them up into coins and arrange them carefully into a cane-like shape. Make sure that the slices are roughly the same width so that everything is proportionate. When you're arranging the curve of the healthy candy cane, it's best to leave one full strawberry intact. Just slice off the stem and angle the strawberry between two banana slices. This is all you need to make one of the simplest and cutest desserts on the planet. Although bananas and strawberries work best for the classic candy cane colour combination, feel free to experiment with other fruits and berries. This healthy candy cane is refined sugar-free and bursting with fibre, potassium, and antioxidants.

Vegan Chocolate Waffles with Blueberry Raspberry Nicecream

This past month, I found out that I might suffer from fructose malabsorption. Since I love fruit, this was a pretty big deal for me. Focus on eating healthy fats, like the ones found in avocados. These fats are good for maintaining healthy skin, weight-loss and all-around health. Remember that there is no secret spell to instant weight-loss or ultimate physical improvement. There are no magic pills, no special slimming drinks, no perfect quick fix diets either…. You just need to eat healthier.

Make This Healthy Vegan Burrito For Lunch

Make This Healthy Vegan Burrito For Lunch

A healthy vegan burrito is the perfect way to eat your vegetables! It's both fun and satisfying, too. Just take two big leaves of collard greens. This vegetable tastes a bit like spinach and romaine mixed together. What I love about collard greens is that they have a lot of surface area - this is perfect for wrapping veggies. In this recipe, the cherry tomatoes add just the right amount of sweetness to complement the other ingredients. Cutting the veggies finely makes it delicious and easy to wrap. I also added some cilantro and arugula - these are optional, but I like the flavors that each of these herbs bring to the vegan burrito. They add just the right kick!

The Best Vegan Chocolate Smoothie Ever

Healthy Vegan Grocery Haul

Healthy Vegan Grocery Haul

I've received tons of requests asking about what kinds of groceries I buy throughout the week and how much I spend on them. This video will give you a brief overview of my vegan grocery haul. My favorite place to get groceries is the farmer's market. Everything tastes better, it's local, and it's generally cheaper. When I can't get things from the farmer's market, I buy my groceries from Costco because they offer great deals and many options. I buy different groceries depending on what I need, what I'm in the mood for, or what's available at the time. Frozen and dried fruit usually last 3-4 weeks and the fresh produce will last about 1 week and a half. The produce in this video amounts to $96.00 and throughout the week, I'll pick up an additional $30 dollars worth of food. This consists of frozen bananas, cauliflower, zucchini, herbs, and extra produce.
